Britney Spears May Be Moving to Denver

Is Denver Really the Place for Spears?

Tabitha Fleming
The Denver Post reported that Britney Spears and boyfriend John Sundahl were in the Mile High City in mid-December looking at real estate (in Cherry Creek North of course) where Sundahl reportedly put down a 2.2 million dollar deposit. It was also reported that Spears and Sundahl drove an SUV to check out top notch rehab center Harmony Foundation in Estes Park. The sources are apparently an ex-bodyguard and some CU college students who call themselves the "CU Gossip Girls."

Is Britney really moving to Denver? And if she does, will she find the city hospitable? Whether or not Brit is planning the move, and whether she is in rehab in Estes Park, or in Denver from day to day remains to be seen. I'd say though, that she'll definitely find Denver as a whole hospitable. Who knows, maybe we'll be seeing Britney at the Cheesecake Factory, or strolling along the 16th Street Mall. She'll surely be a frequent sight in LoDo.

Lot's of people move to Denver for the proximity to the mountains, which offer up great hiking in the summer, and skiing or snowboarding in the Winter. We all know that Aspen had a celeb filled holiday, but will Britney follow suit and head to aspen? I suggest she take the less traveled road and get back to some peace and quiet in Winter Park. Maybe we'll see her soon with a "Mary Jane" sticker, but that might not be such a good idea based on her court cases.

What else can Denver offer to Britney Spears? The Denver Art Museum is a nice, alcohol and drug free entertainment spot, she can pick up a few self-help books at the Tattered Cover, and then drop by the Museum of Nature and Science for a quick lesson. The kids will be happy when they're in Denver, especially if Brit takes them to the Children's Museum.

The only thing Denver residents really need to worry about is the driving. We've all heard her skills behind the wheel questioned, and the snow may prove a driving hazard. However, if you're going to get in a car accident with someone, why not Britney Spears? At least you know she's insured.

While personally I think it would be in Britney's best interest to make the move. Apparently, at least some people in the area of Denver and Cherry Creek aren't too excited about having Britney for a neighbor. If the comments from the Denver Post article are any measure, people in that area would rather that Britney Spears stay away from Colorado all together.

Then again, who are these random posters? Do they really represent Denver as a whole? I highly doubt it, and strongly suspect that Denver as a whole will be as hospitable to Spears as any other city, perhaps more so. Even these negative commenters, if face to face with Brit, would most likely be "delighted" to meet her.

I say, welcome Britney, please drive safely, recover, and don't cause a riot.

    Ramona,
you need to get that chip off your shoulder and get an education. Nothing uglier than an ignorant prejudiced bitch.

It was so mis-reported by the Denver Post. I saw Mr. Sundahl when he was here the first time with his girl friend and it was not Britney al all!

There's a solution to the paparazzi problem: just identify them as professional athletes, and the folks downtown will shoot them.

God help us if she does. She'll probably have to deal with a lot of trouble where ever she goes.
It promises to be interesting if she does move here.

No one I know wants her here. The Cherry Creek area is busy enough as is, I do not want to deal with her groupies and paparazzi.

Thanks for the comments! I've actually moved out of the Denver area, but used to live there and frequent LoDo when I was in college. It'll definitely be interesting if she does move in.

How fitting! Britney Spears will fit right in the the rest of the pretentious douchbags you can find in Cherry Creek North. I live in south Denver and travel to the Cherry Creek neighborhood for work and each time it's baffling to see how many idiots populate the area. Welcome home, Britney!

Maybe Denver can help the poor girl get better. The Los Angeles craziness is slowly taking its toll on Britney. Welcome to Denver!

I live in the area, and I for one, as well as a lot of others, would not welcome her to the neighborhood. NO ONE wants a continuous throng of paparazzi blocking streets and causing constant traffic jams. Talk about making everyone's lives a living h*ll.
