Trouble Once Again for the Pop Star

A Britney Spears sexual harassment lawsuit is available for viewing at TMZ. Her ex-bodyguard Fernando Flores claims Spears made unwanted sexual advances toward him and abused her children.

Britney Spears has survived a public nervous breakdown and has managed to clean up her image

Everyone remembers when Britney Spears walked around in public with no underwear and shaved off all of her hair at a beauty salon. It was uncomfortable to watch the young celebrity unravel in such a public way. But Spears got help for her problems and returned to the record selling pop star we remembered.

Now a blast from the past may tarnish Spears' new life. To complicate matters, the allegations did not occur when Britney was at the height of her breakdown. Fernando Flores alleges that the sexual harassment began in February of 2010 when Britney was normal again.

Flores claims that Britney would call him to her room to expose herself to him, and to make matters worse, Spears would also engage in sex acts in front of him. When Flores told his supervisor, the response was, "you know you like it." In addition to the sexual advances, Flores claims Spears had sex in front of her children and used profanity in front of them.

Is sexual harassment against men by women downplayed?

Whether the Britney Spears sexual harassment lawsuit is true, Fernando Flores should brace for some late night TV jokes where he is the target. Although the number of harassment suits filed by men against women has gone up, most incidents are not reported.

When a woman harasses a man, it's seen differently than when a man harasses a woman. "It's sort of a societal taboo. A man's going to complain because a woman's hitting on him? What's wrong with him?" says lawyer Alexis McKenna. If a man claims a woman has sexually harassed him, does society view him as a "real" man?

When allegations that Tiger Woods' wife Elin Nordegren hit him with golf club surfaced, Saturday Night Live did a parody about the incident, and everyone laughed. The same would not have happened if it were the other way around.
