Britney Spears: Then and Now

Born with talent, Britney Spears participated in television shows and plays as a child. She came out with her first album Baby One More Time in 1999, later followed by Oops! I Did It Again and In the Zone.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline married in 2004 and had two kids, Sean Preston and Jaden. The couple went through an ugly divorce two years later that shattered Spears. After losing custody of her kids, she has been slowly gaining back custody rights in the last few months particularly.

Rising back to the top again, late last year Britney came out with her album Circus, which rose to number one on the Top 40 Radio Chart in February 2009. Her comeback single, Womanizer, also reached first place. Britney Spears decided to launch a tour in early March 2009. For her worldwide tour, she has been granted custody of her two kids for 50% of the tour. Just recently, Forbes named Britney the 13th most powerful celebrity, when the pop star made $35,000,000 from June 2008 and June 2009.

What now?
Once a top role model for young people and a cultural icon, Britney Spears is slowly reviving herself. The mother has proved that her kids are her life, spending as much time with her kids as possible. The media still tries to target Britney Spears. Gossip fans still are unsure about whether Britney's turn-around act is permanent. Are the bad times behind her? What will her future hold?

It's not for sure, but so far Britney is on the right track. She is paying legal fees, getting her kids back, and now, is in a relationship. Star magazine has claimed that her agent Jason Trawick proposed to her while vacationing and the couple is now engaged. However, other reports say that there is no engagement yet. The couple has reportedly been dating for three months; perhaps Britney is taking this relationship slow?

Britney is very content, knowing that her father approves of Jason Trawick. If Britney surrounds herself with the right people, she will make it and lead a great future. Some believe she will soon come to her end if she isn't careful. Indeed, recovering from devasting circumstances, losing children and depression, is very tough; Britney needs to take care of herself and be aware of her actions.
