Britney Spears Tweets Refreshing News Today; Lindsay Lohan Willing to Make Plea Deal (Links)

Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan are both hot topics right now but for very different reasons. While Spears seems to have really turned her life around and is heading in a positive direction, Lindsay Lohan's record is still stuck and reaping the consequences of her addictive behavior.

The good news is that Britney Spears tweeted with fans today and said something that is absolutely humdrum and benign as are a lot of conversations. The once very troubled pop singer tweeted this: "I'm really just a boring homebody who loves staying home with my kids and that's where I'm the happiest."

Awww...those are refreshing words to hear when thinking back to Britney's embattled life several years ago. It has become fairly obvious through her actions that Spears has parted ways with her old life which for a while scared many of those people close to her. No more running nearly naked into the ocean, shaving her head, hard partying, etc.

Instead, it looks like Spears has finally arrived in the place where she realizes the simple things are the best things in life.

And perhaps Lindsay Lohan will get there one day as well.

Yesterday (February 9), Lohan was officially charged for grand theft of a $2,500 necklace from an upscale jewelry store in Venice, CA. Jewelry owners are claiming that Lohan stole the necklace on or around January 22, just a few weeks after being released from rehab.

One day later Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley has stated that Lohan is willing to make a plea deal with the prosecutors with the caveat being she would receive no prison time. For the alleged crime, Lohan could have received up to three years in prison if convicted.

Chapman Holley reported the following to People, "Ms. Lohan maintains her innocence, and now that I've seen the police reports, I believe the case is entirely defensible.

Lindsay's lawyer also said, "Having said that, we will entertain a discussion concerning a plea if it means no jail so that she can move forward with her recovery and her career."
