Britney Suffers from Coke Addiction

Britney Spears is suffering from one of the worst addictions a person could be faced with. She is addicted to coke. Ok, I don't mean the drug but the drink.

According to Celebrity Dish E-Newsletter, Britney Spears has been drinking a lot of the soft drink while staying in rehab. When we say a lot, we mean anywhere from a case to three cases!

Celebrity Dish E-Newsletter spoke with a source that just recently left Promises Treatment Center, and according to her, Britney Spears has been using her fondness of the soda to curve the downfall from other drugs.

"No matter when you saw her, she always had a coke in her hand. She is really relying on them to help soothe the withdraws."

The source continues:

"Britney was really upset one day and ended up drinking three cases of Coke within a single evening. I have never seen anyone drink that much soda in my life!"

But what could have upset Britney enough to drink so many Cokes? During the interview with Celebrity Dish, the source explained:

"The day that she consumed so many drinks was the day that Kevin visited for the first time. She had been nervous because she was embarrassed of her actions. She knew that Kevin had always supported her, and was afraid that she would lose that support. So she started drinking Cokes one after another. By the time Kevin arrived, the girl must have gone through at least a case of Coke."

But is seems as if that was only the start of her binge.

"When Kevin left after spending some time with her, she went to her room and stayed inside for awhile. She later emerged and started popping the cans one after another until she had consumed about 24 Cokes. One of the other girls asked her what was wrong and she said that Kevin and her had a fight about him assuming custody of the kids. She said that since she can't calm her nerves with alcohol or anything else, Cokes was the next best thing."

"I really hope and pray that Britney will be able to overcome her drug addiction. During one of the meetings, the instructor explained that sometimes you rely on sweets and other forms of food to help keep the 'high' that you felt when using drugs. I guess Britney is relying on Cokes."

At least it is soda and not anything else ... yet!
