Britney's New Love

Is Britney Spears head over heels in love again? Seems like it. According to published reports, Britney Spears has fallen for Howie Day, a singer/songwriter.

A close friend of Britney Spears told Life & Style Magazine that the couple plans on going public with their relationship this summer. Britney also plans on taking Howie Day to her cousin's wedding this summer and introduce him to her parents.

The couple met at Promises Treatment Center. Britney was a resident at the rehab for undisclosed reasons and Howie Day entered due to substance abuse problems. During Britney's stay, she was photographed playing tennis with Howie inside the compound of Promises.

According to friends of Britney Spears, she is in love with Howie and misses the special times they had while in rehab.

"Britney just lights up.. when she talks to Howie or tells people about him. She thinks he's very talented and says he's the best kisser."

"They formed a special bond. They were in group therapy together and Britney found his experiences fascinating."

"They would talk in their free time and try to have lunch together twice a week."

Howie Day is considered a musical bad boy after several episodes of violent behavior. The first episode took place in 2004 when Howie locked a fan up inside the bathroom of his tour bus and destroyed the cellphone of another fan. The fan tried to call for help but Howie grabbed the phone and crushed it.

The second episode with Howie Day took place in December 2005. Howie Day was arrested for verbally abusing a flight crew while flying to Boston. He was charged with disorderly conduct. Howie was eventually sentenced to one year's probation. According to reports, Howie Day was under the influence of alcohol and sleeping pills.

Regardless of his past, Britney still believes that Howie Day is the man for her. When Howie is released this month from Promises, Britney plans on reuniting with the bad boy to see where their relationship will take them. According to her friend, Britney hopes that this relationship will grow and become serious because she has finally found someone that can relate to what she has been through.

Maybe things will finally work out for her. As they always say, the third time is a charm! We will just have to wait and see if anything develops out of this. But one thing is for certain, it appears that Britney Spears got more than treatment while in rehab and that being in rehab is the new place to find love!
