Brittany Murphy Death Not Another Celebrity Death Hoax

Reports were pouring in earlier today that Brittany Murphy, the super sweet star of movies like 'Clueless' and '8 Mile', had died at just 32. According to TMZ, Brittany Murphy's cause of death was cardiac arrest, which, because she's so young, seems to have shocked many and may be one of the reasons everyone seems to believe that Brittany Murphy's death is a hoax. And on top of her young age, we've all heard the Lil Wayne death hoax multiple times and he's alive and well, and Miley Cyrus, another star whose been the subject of death hoax after death hoax, always turns up being just fine. But with multiple major news networks reporting on Brittany Murphy's death, it does seem to be a very tragic truth and not an ill-advised death hoax.

But as the news reports keep pouring in with details about Brittany Murphy's last moments on Earth and everyone feels certain that this isn't a death hoax, the next step after overcoming the shock will be to try and figure out what caused Brittany Murphy's death. With her cause of death reportedly being cardiac arrest, many are already jumping to the conclusion that drug use was involved. After all, it seems that drug use is a likely culprit, considering that we all remember drug use being involved in the death of Heath Ledger, another young star who we didn't expect to pass away so soon. And to make things look even worse, it seems that Brittany Murphy's husband, Simon Monjack, did not want an autopsy performed on his wife's body. So is this another Michael Jackson/Anna Nicole matter? Was Brittany Murphy really prone to drug use and her husband feels he may be to blame for her death, giving her a little too much of something? The fact that he doesn't want an autopsy performed is very suspicious, but he could have other motives for objecting to it that we don't know about.

TMZ also reports that Brittany Murphy may have had diabetes, so is it possible that this disease could have contributed to her death in some way that is not yet obvious. And drug use is not the only thing that can contribute to cardiac arrest in young people; I've known multiple people in their twenties or even younger who had different kinds of heart problems that could lead to them suffering from cardiac arrest, which were usually heart abnormalities. Other causes of cardiac arrest include trauma, drowning, and pulmonary embolism.

It seems that foul play isn't suspected in Brittany Murphy's death at this time, and I wish I could say that it truly was a hoax. Reports say that her mother found her unconscious in the shower, and I can't even imagine how saddened her family is before the holiday season. Let's just hope the true cause of her death is found quickly so her family can get on with their grieving process in peace, and I know we'll all miss Brittany Murphy's quirky onscreen attitude and her unique, genuine smile.
