Five Months After the Death of His Wife Brittany Murphy, Simon Monjack is Found Dead
Brittany Murphy was also found by her mother unresponsive in the shower. By the time medics arrived at the home though, Brittany was already dead. Her death was ruled to be of natural causes related to pneumonia, heart problems and a deadly combination of medication. First reports say that Simon Monjack's death also appears to be heart related as well.
Simon Monjack and Brittany's mother maintained a very close relationship after Brittany's death, providing emotion support and comfort for one another through their mutual grief. They also continued to share the home that belonged to Simon and Brittany at the time her death, though Mr. Monjack had told friends recently he was planning on selling the home and moving to New York.
At the time of Brittany's death, some were suspicious of the circumstances and felt Simon Monjack held some responsibility. The authorities involved in the investigation of her death ruled it an unfortunate accident in and said that Simon Monjack was never a suspect.
Brittany Murphy was the only child of Sharon Murphy who has continued to grieve the death of her daughter these past five months along with Simon Monjack. That she now has to deal with the death of Simon Monjack on top of the death of her daughter just five months ago seems to be a terrible blow.
There is no word yet on whether Ms. Murphy will keep the house that both her daughter and Simon Monjack died in or if she will follow through with the sale of the home as had been planned.

This is so sad. I don't usually get into the celebrity gossip but I was a big fan of Brittany's so this makes me sad to hear as well.
This is truly awful. I cannot imagine losing your only child and then the one that helped you through the grief too. I didn't even know these people, but it is tragic.
