Brittany Murphy's Life Cut Short at 32

Actress and recording artist Brittany Murphy died recently unexpectedly at the age of 32. It is said to be from cardiac arrest according to TMZ. She passed away Sunday morning December 20th just four days before Christmas. She is mostly well known for her roles in movies including Just Married, Clueless, 8 Mile and Don't Say a Word.

The Los Angeles fire department reported that they responded to a 911 call to the home of Brittany's husband, screenwriter Simon Monjack's residence. Brittany Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center this morning where she then died.

According to TMZ, she was fired from her last film due to causing too many problems and distractions. The film is named, The Caller. Brittany's mother reportedly found her passed out in the shower. The paramedics arrived and tried to revive her, but were unsuccessful.

Murphy was born November 10th 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia. Her parents divorced when she was just two and her mother raised her in New Jersey and later in Los Angeles. She earned her first job in Hollywood at the age of just 14. She made guest appearances in on television shows such as Blossom, Frasier and Parker Lewis Can't Lose. She also had several recurring acting roles on Boy Meets World, Party of Five and Sister Sister.

She released a music single called "Faster Pussycat" with Paul Oakenfold from their album A Lively Mind. Murphy dated actor Ashton Kutcher in 2002, her co star in Just Married. In May 2007, she married British screenwriter Simon Monjack. Brittany was a spokes model for Jordache jeans and she was voted number 36 on FHM's 100 sexiest list. She was named number 49 on Maxim's top 100 sexiest list also. It is a tragedy how this happened so suddenly to such a young, active and famous actress.
