Broccoli Cheese Soup Our Family's Favorite Soup

Kel
Broccoli Cheese soup has been a favorite recipe with my family for years. The kids have loved it since they were little-- yes kids eating broccoli and liking it!

2 large bunches of broccoli, chopped in bite size pieces. Use florets and stems. About 4 cups

1/2 onion finely diced

5 cups water

1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper

Bring the water to a boil and add the above ingredients in a large stock pot. Boil the broccoli until tender, about 10 minutes.

Reduce heat and stir in 1/2 of a large loaf of Kraft American Cheese, more if you like more cheese taste. Stir until the cheese melts, be careful because it can settle to the bottom and burn. Stir in 1 cup half and half and 1 can of low sodium chicken broth. Heat through and serve.
