Brock Lesnar Vs Marius Pudzianowski

John Locke
Marius Pudzianowski has been making news ever since he scored his first MMA victory against Marcin Najman in December 2009. Since then he has been calling out the top fighters of today starting from Fedor Emelianenko and more recently the fierce UFC champion, Brock Lesnar.

Marius is the Lance Armstrong of Strong Man competitions. The world's strongest man is excited to take on new challenges and has shown to be more than a match for professional MMA fighters. The real question is however, can he make it to the top where the likes of Fedor and Lesnar are ruling their divisions at Strikeforce and the UFC.

Lesnar's own rise has had it similarities but it must be clear that these are two very different fighters. Both are outstanding athletes but while Pudzianowski has little or no martial arts experience, Brock Lesnar was NCAA Division I wrestling champion which already says a lot about his skills.

Lesnar has been able to do what few before him were able to achieve and rise in the short term of four MMA fights to the very top defeating Frank Mir, the well-known submission artist, Randy Couture the ageing legend of the sport, and the formidable Heath Herring.

Brock Lesnar has shown that he is not only incredibly quick for his size but very capable in taking the fight to the ground and controlling the fight to deliver massive ground and pound. His trainers are already saying that it is virtually impossible to submit the guy. Here Brock has shown that he is also a very fast learner. The monster is able to take down any fighter with ease and deliver nasty hammer fists.

Pudzianowski may have similarities with the UFC Champion but looking more closely there are few. It is hard to imagine that Lesnar would have any difficulty taking down the strong man and delivery a terrible beating. Tim Sylvia and Aleksander Emelianenko, have been named as possible opponents but so far nothing has come of this so far.

Pudzianowski is now set to face his second opponent in Robert Paczków who does have a strong wrestling background. An impressive performance from there could take him to Strikeforce or the UFC. Will he succeed? No one knows because no one has ever seen a guy this strong fighting in MMA, but my best guess is no.
