Broken Glass

Meandering Thoughts

Angela Curry
i see you in your business suit
your fine combed hair
and your haughty air
but you're my country boy
your big 'ol pick up
and skewed little cap
you think you fool me
but i played your game
its a losing one, you know
you try to hide, try to pretend
but i see you
i can play peek-a-boo too
around the corner, across the aisle
you wait till i catch you, then off you go
down the rabbit hole
but no more alice, no more for me
the looking glass is broke today
i've been dizzy for way too long
you know me, you feel me
i know you too
you are my country boy
i see you in my heart
i see you in my soul
i know how you feel
i know how to hurt
i know how not to trust
i know you are afraid of me
and no matter how hard you push me
you just cant let me go
but who am i
to hurt you
i would only
love you
if you would only

let me

Really liked this one! I liked the running into the rabbit hole and you as Alice!

I love how the pace and the layout of your poem become a visual representation of its meaning. LOVE this!

That is really good!!! It sounds like a song. You could seriously sell this as a song. :)
