A poem written by someone I know
Broken Hearts
are not worn on sleeves
Because, alone,
in silence, they grieve.
Broken hearts
try twice as hard
to stay strong, and,
they're always on guard.
Broken hearts
pray to God above
and they never stop
knowing how to love
