There is a rose
found out on the road
it was fragile and so pure
so the story goes….
He found someone
To give the flower to
Opening a heart again,
That years would not renew
so they danced
and the flower grew
becoming full and feathered
as the wind divined and blew
Like an old photograph
With a little tiny tear
Love lies wounded
In the feelings that we share
Now that rose lies broken
Down on that dusty road
It's lovely petals, tattered
As time would now erode
