Broken Saints: Animated Epic Questions Our Beliefs

How far will you go to find the truth? Is it right in front of us or hidden in the media we thrive on today?

Those are a few questions asked in the animated comic on DVD called Broken Saints by Brooke Burgess.
It's a dark noir mixed with hidden messages that questions our faith, humanity and visions of the future, and from the looks of it ... it paints a bleak picture.

With each DVD you put into the player and watch draws you into the plot a little more, the haunting music and sound effects chills the bones and sets the next scene almost foreshadowing what's going to happen next. Each segment is short but before you know it you have spent 2 hours watching what felt like minutes of the movie.

There are four pawns in the overall game of life in this movie. Kimamuri an old Shinto priest on the verge of madness when his precious treasures have been stolen. Raimi, a computer geek in search of answers to his own existence and the conspiracies that surround him. Oran, an Iraqi terrorists looking for Allah who seems to have abandoned him in the desert
of Saudi Arabia and then Shandalah, an orphan adopted by a peaceful tribe in the Fijian islands.

Each DVD is an important part of the whole story, with each disc you learn more about each character's past and how they are all drawn together and their purpose in the plot.

With each episode there are words to think about as they fade in and out of the scenes with exerpts from the bible, wisdoms of past teachings and quotes from famous leaders and educators. The theme is Big Brother is Watching and when your back is turned. Big brother will play god with your soul. This is a must see animation.

Pros: An awesome visual, stunning music and wisdom hidden in beautiful animations.
Cons: If you're easily offended by racial slurs and cursing this movie will anger you before it can explain itself.
