If the Denver Broncos have any plans for getting back to a winning record in 2011, their first step needs to be in getting a win against the Oakland Raiders this weekend. On the other hand, the Raiders will be desperate for a victory given that their last game was a blowout loss to their arch-rival, the Kansas City Chiefs.
With the Chiefs, Chargers and Raiders all with a 4-3 record, the Broncos cannot afford another division loss in the AFC West. Denver needs to step up now and find a way to get a win. Their season is on life support now.
The Denver Broncos did not fare well last Sunday against the Detroit Lions. Denver could only manage 10 points while Detroit seemed to score at will as they finished with 45 points. This was even a home game for Denver and still they had trouble at every part of the field.
AFC West will be super competitive in 2011
With a 2-5 record in the AFC West as of today, the Denver Broncos look to be out of contention in the division. But hold on a minute. Denver is actually only two games behind all three other division teams, according to the NFL standings.
Even in some of their losses this season, the Broncos have been very close. Three of their losses were decided by five or fewer points. Sure, they were blown out in the other defeats but blowouts happen to every team sometimes.
The Denver Broncos have the power to completely reverse their season slide. Three of their next four games are against division foes, with Oakland this weekend, then Kansas City after that, and finally San Diego on Nov. 27. Unfortunately, all three of those are road games which means the odds of winning all three are slim to none.
About the game
The Denver Broncos head to Oakland this weekend and will play the Raiders in a matchup scheduled to start at 1:05 pm Pacific or 4:05 pm Eastern. Check your local listings for the time and channel in your area. You can also follow the score online on espn.com.
You know this game is very important to the Denver Broncos and they will want to show the division rival Oakland Raiders that this 2011 NFL season is not over yet. The Broncos still have a chance at the division crown and this weekend they are going to show what they are made of.

Post a CommentI'm just not sure what to think about Denver. Tebow has to run for his life, and he's missing a big-time wide receiver. It will be interesting to see how Oakland responds.
Thanks
Excellent... :o)
Should be a great game!
