Bronson Park Sonnet

ST

We sat on the cold concrete next to the
fountain in Bronson Park, Kalamazoo.
It was still early, but dark, was such a
calm evening. We drank chai tea and when you
asked me if I knew what I was doing
after graduation I didn't know
just what to say. I really had nothing.
I sipped on my tea, tongue burning, said, "So."
I said, "Really I have no idea.
What about you?" I thought, When tonight ends
it's all over. You shifted and said, "See,
I'm gonna do this, or that, it depends
on etcetera, who knows?" They were right,
my thoughts, but I still hold on to that night.

I like the implementation of conversation very much, kudos on your sonnet.

Wow. I could feel this one. The photo really ads to the emotion of the piece. I really like your work Simon. Keep on writing!
