Brooke White Nails Police Cover on American Idol

Beauty school dropout and sweeter-than-candy Brooke White performed "Every Breath you Take" originally sang by The Police.

Brooke is much better when performing behind the piano. She hasn't quite gotten used to performing on stage without an instrument and at times seems awkward and aloof. (See last week's performance of "Here Comes the Sun").

This week she nailed the performance, regardless of what the judges said.

She is definitely Idol material with her innocent look and sugary demeanor. She has a soulful voice and reminds me so much of Carly Simon. (Maybe it's the hair.)

Although I don't know if she will win this season, she is another Idol who more than likely will release a record regardless of the outcome on the show. The one thing I absolutely love about Brooke is her graciousness.

The judges can give negative feedback (I am taking to mostly you SIMON) and she accepts it with the utmost poise and grace. A real class act. She also portrays so much professionalism, as shown when she messed up the first line of the song, and quickly got back on track within seconds. If you blinked you would have missed it.

Most people would have been embarrassed and unable to concentrate and go on. She went on and did a wonderful job of it. As much as I like the performance, the judges did not so much, claiming it was "Alright" and "the first half was fantastic".

Not the worse comments a girl could get, but sometimes I wonder if the judges are even listening. I predict Brooke will make it to the top 4 for sure, but I am doubtful she will be in the final. She deserves to be no doubt, but there can only be one winner and this years talent is probably the best in a long time.
