Brooklyn Bridge Traffic Added to Fort Greene

Besides Downtown Brooklyn, no other neighborhood is more affected by the Brooklyn Bridge closure at night of Manhattan bound traffic than Fort Greene. I know, I know, it's a necessity; the Brooklyn Bridge needs her beauty sleep ( repair work ) too. But did you know that New York City Department of Transportation says that 80% of the detoured Brooklyn Bridge traffic now uses the Manhattan Bridge? Again I know, I know, you don't need anyone to tell you that; you see it.

NYCDOT suggests traffic from the south use the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel and traffic from the north use the Williamsburg Bridge. But no matter how you slice it, the majority of the traffic from all of interior Brooklyn bottlenecks now even more so through Fort Greene, leading up to the Manhattan Bridge.
