Brooklyn Busts Loitering Young

In recent weeks, Brooklyn police have been really cracking down on groups of four or more teenagers throughout the borough.

Basically, if you are under the age of 21, you don't want to be hanging out with three or more of your friends. One of the areas of focus is the Atlantic Terminal and Atlantic Mall, or any mall for that matter.

The inspiration for the crackdown may very well be attributed to an incident last year in which thousands of kids showed up at Buffalo Wild Wings in the Atlantic Mall. The incident was allegedly a direct result of someone posting a flier about the "event" on one of the popular social networking sites. Two people were stabbed and another two were shot.

The new rules, supposedly in an effort to maintain law and order, will allow no more than four individuals under the age of 21 to gather in a group at the mall. Many locals believe this could cause age discrimination, and perhaps already has.

It is alleged that some guards at the mall entrance have been asking for ID as young adults enter the mall, sometimes turning them away, even when they do not enter in groups of four or more.

This situation is bound to cause an uproar among Brooklyn's up and coming residents.
