Brooklyn Heights Buildings Part of Proposed Borough Hall Skyscraper Historic District

The city announced that it has planned a new historic district that would consist of 20 buildings. The proposed Borough Hall Skyscraper Historic District is comprised of properties surrounding Downtown Brooklyn's Borough Hall and parts of Brooklyn Heights.

According to the Landmarks Preservation Commission's (LPC) agenda from the October 26 public hearing and meeting, the boundaries for the area run along Court Street from Livingston to Montague Streets and extend west toward Brooklyn Heights.

The proposal includes buildings like Borough Hall and the Municipal building. The LPC's agenda includes a complete list of property boundaries with specific street names. The time line for this new project has yet to be released as of press time.
