Neighborhood: Brooklyn Heights
Brooklyn, NY 11201

Tornadoes aren't the only freak weather systems to brush through Brooklyn in the last month. Monday night, Brooklyn Heights was battered by a hail storm out of nowhere.

In the last quarter of a century, the borough has only been plagued with hail storms about five times, not including October 11's icy attack. Locals have posted various video clips of the hail falling on sites like YouTube and personal blogs.

The hail storm comes a mere four weeks after a brutal tornado ripped through Brooklyn and Queens. This time Mother Nature delayed the Jets-Vikings game, stopped subway service on the F and G lines as well as trains heading over the Manhattan Bridge. Along Fourth Avenue in the Park Slope neighborhood, flooding was a problem.

Plagued recently by a tornado and a hail storm, Brooklyn residents wonder, "what's next?" tornado
