"Brothers and Sisters" Season 5 Recaps on ABC

Season 5 of "Brothers and Sisters" has been a whirlwind of events. From Kitty's decision to disconnect Robert's life support to Kevin and Scotty's breakup, the Walker family never fails to deliver on a hint of dysfunction tossed with a lot of love.

"Brothers and Sisters" Season 5 begins with the "Homecoming" episode nearly a year after the tragic car accident that left Robert on life support and Holly with a devastating brain injury. Justin has just returned from his third tour of duty in Iraq and must face the fact that his relationship with Rebecca is over.

Nora is no longer the meddling mother and is searching for her own identity. Her life has been consumed by taking care of her children and coping with the discovery of her husband's long-term infidelity. Although she and Holly made peace in Season 4, Holly no longer remembers her affair with Nora's husband or that they had a daughter together.

As Season 5 unfolds, Nora is found working part-time at a florist where she is treated poorly by the owner. She consults with a plastic surgeon and considers a facelift because she is feeling invisible. Sarah goes with Nora to the surgeon and considers a tummy-tuck and breast lift in hope of remaining attractive to her underwear-model and younger boyfriend, Luc.

After deciding to take Robert off life support, Kitty takes hiatus in a country home and meets handsome handyman, Jack. Kitty assumes the homeowner's name and pretends to be a local, but Jack later discovers who she is. There are romantic undertones, but Kitty returns to the city and is living with Nora as she figures out which direction to take her career. Jack, on the other hand, is persistent and will probably be making more appearances on future episodes of "Brothers and Sisters."

Nora's brother, Saul is running a restaurant with Kevin's boyfriend, Scotty. Saul decides to take a chance at romance with his long-time friend, Stephen Collins who is HIV-positive. Scotty reveals that he cheated on Kevin the night of the restaurant grand opening. Kevin is devastated and leaves Scotty, along with abandoning their plans for surrogacy.

Sarah thinks Luc is cheating on her and finds him sitting in a cabana surrounded by pretty women. Sarah flips out, but later realizes Luc was discussing his modeling career. Luc plans a surprise birthday party for Sarah, but she finds out and spends a tremendous amount of energy contacting family members to let them know she has lied about her age. Luc already knows that Sarah is older than she has told him. But, he doesn't care and confesses his undying love for her by presenting Sarah with an engagement ring which she accepts.

Justin continues to hold onto his relationship with Holly and David as Holly continues her fight to regain her memory. He takes a new interest in taking Holly to her doctor's appointment because he is interested in an attractive nurse.

David falls off the wagon from the stress of Holly's memory loss. Justin calls him out and offers to take David to a meeting. Holly's memory begins to return and she remembers that David had proposed to her right before the car accident. She encourages Justin to move on and live life to the fullest, so Justin takes coffee to the attractive nurse at the end of her shift.

Nora quits working at the flower shop after receiving an offer to host a radio talk show. She competes with Dr. Alexandra Kirby, a well-known talk show host and author of self-help books. Nora's confidence is shaken when she realizes she is up against the infamous Dr. Kirby, but Nora eventually discovers that Alexandra's children have abandoned her and that Dr. Kirby isn't all she's cracked up to be.

Nora lands the job and is finding her place in her newfound career. She now finds herself attracted to fellow radio host, Dr. Karl. As they engage in harmless flirty, viewers are left wondering if Nora will find true love or more heartbreak.

Thanks to Sarah's daughter, Paige, Kevin and Scotty reunite. Kevin has agreed to stop being so self-absorbed and Scotty swears he will never cheat again.

The remaining episodes of "Brothers and Sisters" Season 5 are certain to be entertaining. Luc's mother will be making an appearance and previews reveal she is one flirtatious woman. Only time will tell what trouble she stirs up for the Walker family.
