Bruce Springsteen Mistakes Michigan for Ohio in Concert

Chris Houston
Bruce Springsteen apparently made a mistake getting Michigan confused with Ohio in a Mid-November concert. Was it a big deal? I guess some concert goers might have been offended since Bruce Springsteen apparently confused Michigan with Ohio several times before being corrected by someone in the band,

According to the Detroit Free Press, Springsteen said "Hello, Ohio" at the concert which was held at the Palace in Auburn Hills, Michigan.. My guess is not many fans probably noticed the Bruce Springsteen mistake or thought he was only kidding. I can only imagine the tour schedule for a guy like Bruce Springsteen where he is in a different town every single night. It probably just gets completely confusing.

Springsteen is now 60 years old and perhaps the memory is getting a little slower these days. I think most 30 year olds would get confused at some point with the amount of travelling and concerts on schedule for a guy like Bruce Springsteen. I wouldn't even be surprised if he mistakes Nashville and Los Angeles. I am not so sure there is a person on the planet that wouldn't get a little confused with the repetitive nature of tour life.

Real Bruce Springsteen fans are there for the music and not the personal connection probably anyway. Springsteen fans seem to be the blue collar guys and gals who would understand that their favorite singer is perhaps a little tired these days. Would anyone not be a fan or Bruce Springsteen for such a mistake? My guess is absolutely not. Bruce Springsteen is just an average American who made good. In other words, he makes mistakes just like all of us and if anything it makes him seem more human that he confused Ohio and Michigan.
