Taking a deep breath Casper began. "If it was one problem I could handle it but this is beyond anyone's help. First: Comet and Cupid are in labor the vet says it's gonna be twins so they are out of commission for tonight. Second: Their children were fighting to see who would replace them for tonight's run. The fight escalated till all the children were involved and it moved into the sleigh barn. Both your sleighs were smashed beyond repair. Third:When Donder and Blitzan broke up the donnybrook they both broke their left hind legs. Finally Rudolph's nose has quit glowing."
Santa lit his pipe and quietly said "Let's see what we can do to fix this." First Santa took care of the animals. Binding up their wounds and with the vets help set the broken bones. He consoled the troubled reindeer reminding them that in over 2000 years they had never failed to make the deliveries on time. This year would not be any different they just needed a bit of the old Christmas magic and every thing will turn out just fine.
Santa sat on a bale of straw thinking of how to mend the broken sleigh. Mrs Clause brought him a steaming cup of Columbian coffee and a peanut butter with garlic bologna sandwich. She whispered in his ear and he smiled..."Yep that might just work." Santa walked into the cold clear night and knelt down in prayer. After a few minuets he called to the elves... "Get my sack of toys ready I'll be leaving soon!!!" The elves looked at each other in disbelief but followed orders. They all stood in a circle around that huge bag filled with toys quietly waiting for what was to happen next.
If you haven't read "The Legend of Bubba Clause" now might be a good time. @ http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/121105/the_legend_of_bubba_clause.html
The was a glow in the sky coming from the South. You could hear the yelp of the old coon dogs pulling an old Chevy pickup truck with a homemade flatbed. A cheer slowly rose from the elves... It was Bubba Clause, Santa's baby brother. He jumped from the truck saying "Why do I have to hear you're in trouble from an angel?" He gave Santa a big hug and shouted "Come on elves git r loaded we gotta git r done fer Santa!"
Santa got the ole coon dogs a drink of water and scratched their ears to share a bit of the Christmas magic with them. As Santa stood Bubba asked "Do you wanna ride along Big Brother?" As Santa climbed into the truck he asked "What is the huge case marked Peace, Goodwill, and Semper Fi?" Bubba smiled and replied "That's our first stop on a sandpile in the East. There are a few GI's that need some of our special love tonight."
Bubba pulled the cord for the air horns and shouted "Common Cooter, Stinky, Tree Hugger, common Lady lead the way" The ole coon dogs pulled hard to lift the load into the sky and they left the North Pole at the stroke of midnight, right on schedule. The dashing duo shouted in perfect harmony "Merry Christmas to all and to all a Great Night."
This Christmas Y'all might want to add a few dog biscuits to the cookies and milk... Just in case. If Y'all hear sleigh bells and yelping coon dogs don't fret it's just Bubba helping his big brother.

You so Rock!!!! I love all your articles!!!!
That is funny and cool. I think that it could make a song to rival Leroy the Redneck Reindeer. Great Job!
Very entertaining!

Wonderful! I love Bubba Claus! I always leave biscuits along with the carrots and hay, because you just never know. If I knew the zip code for the North Pole, I'd send Santa and Bubba some Peruvian Organic coffee, and some Mocca Java (not to be confused with chocolate - it's from Ethiopa!)
