Bubble Pizza

The Easy Pizza Your Kids Will Love

Maggie Ray
Pizza is probably one of the most mentioned foods when asking children their favorites. Bubble Pizza is a meal my kids would eat every week if I made it. It's rarely the same two times in a row, but always has a basic pizza flavor. I always try to have the core ingredients in the fridge and cabinets for those days when I can't figure out what we want for diner. Bubble Pizza is quick and easy to make. Don't expect any left overs though, it will probably be gone in one meal.

How to Make Bubble Pizza

Buy a 4 pack of the Cheap prepackaged biscuits. They come in a can where you bang the tube on the cabinet to break it open.
If you are feeding a family of four, I suggest you use all 4 tubes of biscuits. The biscuits form the dough of this pizza. The shape they form results in the name Bubble Pizza.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl cut each biscuit into four pieces. Once you have them all cut, add a jar or two of pizza sauce. If you don't have pizza sauce, use spaghetti sauce instead.
Toss the biscuits and the sauce until the biscuit pieces are completely coated.
pour this mixture into a greased 9X13 baking dish.
Next you need to choose your toppings.
Typical pizza toppings that you might have in your refrigerator include sausage, pepperoni, ham, or chicken.
If you are using sausage, or maybe ground beef, make sure you brown them first.
Add whatever combination of beef toppings you have decided on.
If you are a supreme pizza lover, chop up some onion, bell pepper, or mushrooms to add to the top also.
Even out of the ordinary toppings like hot dog, spam, or bologna can be tried.
A popular combination at my house is ham and pineapple.
This is a versatile dish that works with what you have left in the refrigerator.
Once you have your toppings on, add some Parmesan cheese and then top this with some shredded mozzarella cheese, cheddar or Colby jack.
Place in the oven and cook until the biscuit dough is done. This should take about 25 minutes but it mostly depends on your oven.
Scoop out onto a plate and eat while piping hot.

Variations to the recipe:

You can do these in little individual dishes and let each person choose their own toppings to make an personal bubble pizza.
Another variation on this pizza is to mix the biscuits with Alfredo sauce and chunks of cooked chicken.
In place of the biscuits you can use the tubes of bread stick dough and cut them in chunks.
If you want a sweet pizza you can mix the biscuits with a can of pie filling and add extra fruit for toppings.

This is a good starter recipe for kids learning to cook. With a little oven help taking the pizza out, most of the instructions can be accomplished by your child.
