Buck Knives

A Review of a Great Knife Built in the USA

A.L.C.
I purchased my first Buck knife today. My father has several and swears by their quality. The knife I bought is the model known as the 'skinner'. And though I myself do not hunt I find this beautifully crafted knife very useful in the kitchen. As I held the knife in my hands at Becks Sporting Goods Store in Montana I could not believe how light it felt. The balance is fantastic. The fit and finish is unbelievable. It is quite obvious that this knife is hand-crafted by someone who cares about the quality of his product.

My knife came with a nice sheath and the proverbial yellow and black box that many Buck knife fans find familiar. This knife has a blade that is thick for hard work yet fine enough to sharpen for delicate jobs. It is important to know this is not a cheap run-of-the-mill knife. It is made to last. The blade runs from the tip to the base. If you look closely you will not see any gaps anywhere on this knife.

The handle of the knife is made of an indestructible material that I cannot pronounce. It is smooth and black onyx in color. Buck knives are beheld as pleasing to the eye. This model does not disappoint. It is a work of art unto itself.

"The Measure of Knife Since 1902" is the company slogan. Each product includes an instruction manual on how to care for your new knife as well as a heartwarming message from the founding family that reaffirms the faith they have in the product they offer as well as a religious message.

John Wayne may be gone but not forgotten, GM might be in peril, but the quality of Buck Knives remains unwavering. They produce some of the highest quality knives in this country.

I wonder sometimes about Dads choices but not when it comes to Buck Knives.

I just cant stop reading your reviews. I too like the buck knife. I use it in my kitchen to cut up vegetables and prepare crudites.
