Budget Bridal Shower Decorations: Inexpensive Ideas

Budget Bridal Shower Decoration: Wildflowers
For spring bridal showers in areas with lots of wildflowers available, these can be a great way to create a festive and casual atmosphere. There are many different ways to use wildflowers in your decorations. Obviously, you can put them in vases throughout the party area, but you can also put them in more creative containers to match your theme, such as painted metal buckets for a casual atmosphere, or watering cans for a garden party. Also, if you pick your flowers just before the bridal shower, you can just tie a few together with a ribbon around the stems, and place them strategically around the home, or take down some pictures hanging on the walls and hang the flowers on the hooks.

Budget Bridal Shower Decoration: Stuffed Balloons
Everybody knows that balloons are a great party decoration, but they are often thought of as being too cheap or childish for bridal showers. However, they are a good choice if you are planning a bridal shower on a budget because they are inexpensive and are available in many colors. Also, there are some things you can do to make balloons fancier and more festive. For example, consider putting a balloon inside another balloon, blowing up the inside balloon to only about half the size of the outside one, either tying it off to let it float around inside the larger balloon, or tying them together to keep the inside balloon secured at the bottom. You can also put things inside your balloons, such as curled ribbons, or even wildflowers or other items you are using in your decorations.

Budget Bridal Shower Decoration: Elegant Streamers
Like balloons, streamers are a classic party decoration that can be made a little fancier as needed for your bridal shower. You will want to buy streamers in your party colors, and in addition to the typical streamers, at some stores you can find metallic or pearly streamers that will look fancier and more elegant. Once you have your streamers, use tape to affix one or two ends to a corner, and then give them a few twirls (try twirling one strand more than the other for a nice look) before attaching them to the next point. You can also use streamers to decorate along the edges of your food tables.

Budget Bridal Shower Decoration: Food
The best way to be economical on bridal shower decorations is to use things that you would be buying anyway. This works best on centerpieces, because you can do things like making tiered cupcake centerpieces, or having a bowl of seasonal fruit and vegetables. You can either eat the items during the party, or just use them after the big day.

Budget Bridal Shower Decoration: Hearts
Hearts are the classic theme for anything related to weddings and being in love, and therefore, they will work really well for decorating your bridal shower. The best part about this is that it can be really easy to make hearts out of red and pink paper (or paper in your theme colors), or many people can just dig out their Valentine's Day decorations. Hearts can be attached to just about anything in the party, from the cake and food, to flower arrangements, to potted plants or small trees in your house. Hang them from streamers, put them in balloons, cut food into heart shapes, and just go crazy with it.
