Famous Names
Supplies: Paper, pen or pencil
Grab a piece of paper and make a list of one half of a famous couple, real or fictional. Give guests pen and paper and challenge them to write down the other half of the famous couple. The guest with the most right answers wins.
Bridal Gown Designer
Supplies: Toilet paper, paper clips
This is a cheap game that brings out the creativity in shower guests. Divide guests into small groups. Choose one person in each group to serve as a model. Give each group three rolls of toilet paper and a handful of paper clips. Assign each group to a separate room and give them ten to fifteen minutes to design their bridal gown from the supplies given. When the time is up, everyone returns to the main room for the fashion show, where the bride will select the best bridal gown.
How well do you know the bride?
Supplies: Paper, pen or pencil
This is a great way to find out how much the shower guests really know the bride. Make a list of questions relating to the bride. For example: "What is the bride's favorite food?" or "What song did the bride and groom first dance to?" Give guests pen and paper and have them answer the questions. The person with the most right answers win.
Bridal Pictionary
Supplies: Paper, pen or pencil
Cut a piece of paper into small strips. On each strip, write down something related to brides or weddings. For example: cake, honeymoon, church, etc. Put the strips into bowl. Divide guests into two teams. One person from the first team picks one of the strips from the bowl and teammates attempt to guess what the word is while the first person draws it. If they haven't figured it out at the two minute mark, the other team gets a chance to guess the word. Teams get one point for each correct guess. After all team members have had a chance to draw, tally the points. The team with the most points wins.
Pin the Veil on the Bride
Supplies: Paper, one tack, blindfold, tape
Using a copier, enlarge a photo of the bride. On another piece of paper, draw a veil and cut it out. Tape the bride's photo to the wall. Guests take turns being blindfolded and attempting to pin the veil on the bride.
Where's the Groom? Where's the Bride?
Supplies: Blindfold
This game only works for co-ed showers. If you don't have a blindfold, you can make one yourself for free using a tie or handkerchief. Blindfold the bride. After she's blindfolded, line up the guys and tell the bride she has to identify her groom, the catch being she can only feel the guys' biceps. Once she's identified who she believes to be her groom, have her take off the blindfold to see if she was right. Then let the groom see if he can identify his bride.
