With Christmas quickly approaching, now is the perfect time to begin looking for the perfect place to select your Christmas tree. The Raleigh, North Carolina area is full of Christmas tree farms, but here are the best with the lowest prices.

1) First and foremost is my personal favorite, Boyce Farms located in the northern Wake County region of North Carolina. The farm is family owned and features acre after acre of Christmas trees to select. The Christmas tree farm has 3 types to choose from (White Pine, Leyland Cypress and Fraser Firs), and hundreds of trees total in a variety of sizes. They also will assist you in cutting down your tree, netting it, load it, and tie it to your vehicle at no extra charge which can really save you a lot of effort, time, and money. If you'd like to cut down the tree yourself, you may bring your own saw but they do not allow chainsaws to be brought into the Christmas tree farm. They also offer a beautiful selection of fresh cut and handmade wreaths in several different sizes for all price ranges. They are open Monday-Friday from 12pm-7pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9am-7pm. The Christmas tree farm opens November 27th (the day after Thanksgiving) and closes December 23rd. 2) The Pop-N-Son Christmas Tree Farm located in Garner North Carolina (just outside of Raleigh) has been around for over 30 years. It's well known for having several different types of Christmas trees including Carolina Sapphires, Blue Ice, Leyland Cypress, and Fraser Firs all on their over 10 acre Christmas tree farm. They also offer pre-cut Fraser Firs if you don't want to cut your own tree. However, if you do, they have a huge selection with many different sizes. The Christmas tree farm has won many awards by the National Christmas Tree Association, the North Carolina Christmas Tree Association, the Alleghany County Christmas Tree Association and the Eastern North Carolina Christmas Tree Growers Association. If you can't make it out to their farm in Garner, they offer 2 lots around Raleigh where you can purchase one of their pre-cut trees at very low costs. Their lots are located in Garner at the Timber Crossing Shopping Center (corner of Timber Drive and Highway 50) and one in Cary at the Preston Corners Shopping Center which is located directly behind the RBC Centura bank. 3) The Back Achers Christmas Tree farm, located in south Raleigh North Carolina, is a family owned Christmas tree farm with over 8 acres and a thousand trees available each year. This is a great farm with one of the largest selection of trees in North Carolina including Virginia Pine, White Pine, Cedar, Leyland Cypress, Spartan Juniper, and many more. The prices at this Christmas tree farm are also great. They have smaller trees for only around $10 and you can get trees for around 7 feet tall for only $25. And, the prices go up from there depending on type, height, etc. This Christmas tree farm also has a ribbon on each tree (located by the price tag) to show what quality grade each tree is, so you know EXACTLY what you're getting prior to purchasing it. From November 1st-November 27th you can visit the farm early and select which tree you want and then come back and pick it up closer to Christmas (to guarantee it stays fresh). They also will bag and net wrap your tree for free (if you buy Monday-Thursday. If you purchase on the weekend they charge $1 to wrap, cut, bag, and tie down your tree). This Christmas tree farm is also well known for field trips and many educational classroom activities. They also sell things such as handmade wreaths, tree stands, chestnuts, etc. They are open 7 days per week from 10am-5pm but have a special lot of Fraser trees located under lights open until 6pm.
