Ingredients

Serves 6
1lb Rutabaga, peeled and chopped
1.5lb Turnips, peeled and chopped
1 TSP Salt
1/3 Cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
6 TBS Butter
4 oz Cream Cheese
3/4 TSP Salt
1/4 TSP Pepper

Directions for Budget Friendly Parmesan Mashed Rutabaga and Turnips

Boil
Add rutabagas and turnips to a pot to boil. Add enough water to cover. Sprinkle with one teaspoon of salt. Boil until tender and drain. Exact cook time will depend on the size of the pieces.

Mash
Return rutabagas and turnips back into the pot. Add butter, salt, pepper, cream cheese, and parmesan cheese. Mash with potato masher until desired consistency is reach. Scoop into a bowl and serve.
