Budget Hotels Near Charlotte/Douglas International Airport (CLT)

Priceline offers hotels from $59 to $189 a night that have shuttle service to Charlotte Douglas International Airport, the best bargain amongst them that features an airport shuttle appears to be the Econo Lodge & Suites located on 3400 Queen City Drive in Charlotte.

The Econo Lodge website says each room has a work desk, free cable, and a complimentary continental breakfast is included. There are also free local business calls and a fax service. There is a pool and a complimentary hotel shuffle service to and from the airport from 5 AM to 11 PM daily. There is a courtesy telephone at the airport baggage claim area to call for pick up. They have a Park N Fly service but you have to request it.

Another lower priced hotel is the Quality Inn & Suites Charlotte Airport down the street at 3100 Queen City Drive in Charlotte. The Quality Inn's rates start at $69 a night. They are within walking distance to restaurants like Cracker Barrel and a few other restaurants. There is a breakfast in the morning and a microwave & fridge in the rooms. There does not appear to be a shuttle service available to the airport. There is a pool.

Another hotel option is the Springhill Suites Charlotte Airport hotel. Springhill suites is a nice hotel for business travelers in that it is typically quiet, clean and has several useful amenities. There is an extensive free breakfast that is much heartier than a continental breakfast. There are computer, internet and office features like a fax, printer, computer, and copier center that is free to use. Each room has a kitchen set up and dining area, a pull out couch, bed, and work desk with internet hook up. There is a complimentary shuttle service will bring you from the airport directly to the hotel. Rates are around $134 a night. Phones in each room have voice mail.

The Red Roof Inn is a fourth hotel option near the airport, it is located at 3300 Queen City Drive. There does not appear to be a complimentary shuttle, they are about three miles from the airport. The Red Roof Inn is near several area restaurants including fast food and fine dining. They are about 15 miles away from the outlet center. They have an express checkout that is useful for travelers. Rates start at $49 a room per night for a standard, non-smoking room for one, which seems to be the best bargain price wise, but again there is no hotel shuttle available.

A fifth option is the Microtel hotel located at 3412 S I 85 Service Road in Charlotte. This hotel rates are as low as $45 a night. There is a free coffeemaker in the room, and the website shows pictures of a continental breakfast with coffee, pastry and fresh fruit, but there is no specific mention of such in the quoted rate. The rooms have Wi-Fi and free local and long distance calls. There appears to be no shuttle service, but there are free laundry services. This is a pretty good rate if you can make other arrangements for airport shuttle services.

The Best Western Airport Inn Charlotte located at 2625 Little Rock Road is less than two miles from the airport.
