Most importantly, what keeps one from fulfilling dreams of vacationing at the beach? More often than not, it is the expenses. The cost of gasoline, oil, bus fare, airfare, having a rental car or a dependable vehicle, eating, drinking, going to see sights, and kid's needs if one is traveling with children. Don't forget the motel! By the time one plans all the rest of the trip to the beach, this part can be forgotten about. This is when most people that live farther away than an hour or two from the ocean just give up their entire dream. Many families do not have the extra money that it takes to have a luxury in their lives, such as a beach vacation.
Fortunately, one can make a dream beach vacation happen in reality. The least expensive motel of all the beaches at Myrtle is the El Dorado, a beautiful family oriented motel, located on the quiet south end of Myrtle Beach. This motel is by far the best overall cost for anyone wanting to stay and play at the beach. There is a cozy, comfortable atmosphere and relaxing in the southern rocking chairs on the top balcony, especially in the evening, is the ultimate pure southern comfort.
In comparison to other motels in the beach resort area, the El Dorado is less cost, has competitive packages with extras and this motel offers direct beach access as well. It is only one mile to Myrtle Beach Airport, close to the Springmaid Pier, three miles from Broadway at the Beach, seven miles from South Carolina's Seafood Capital called Murrells Inlet, and near all amusements and golf courses.(There are many, many golf courses along the strand.)
In addition, the El Dorado has always been family owned and operated. The staff is very friendly, thoughtful, helpful, and full of southern hospitality. They offer extras like coupons, booklets, brochures, blankets, pillows, ice cream treats, free morning coffee, phone wake up calls, irons, coffee pots, ice, and more. Barbecue grills are available too, in case one wants to do some outdoor cooking, and the sun decks let you bask in the sunshine.
Likewise, the El Dorado Motel has free swimming in either the inside or outside pools. Having two swimming pools give one a choice of being in the water out front of the motel or inside, in the heated pool. This makes for wonderful night time and year round swimming both. Also, the hot tub is a splendid addition to the indoor pool room, as is the sauna room that is adjacent to the pool room.
Indeed, the El Dorado Motel provides rentals year round for families and couples. Yes, they do give discounts for senior citizens, AARP, and AAA. Moreover, the time in which to take advantage of the lowest rates would be January, February, March, April, second week of August, September, October, November, and December. Rates are offered for five night specials from May through September for efficiencies only. These specials can save one up to double over other motels and these particular months are superb months to visit the south.
Also, Rooms come with TV, air conditioning, double, queen, and king size beds, some have kitchenettes too. So an average family can save money on eating while they are vacationing by using these cute, well equipped kitchens inside their rooms. Dishes and other kitchen needs are provided. The large rooms are clean and very nice, and the room service is outstanding if one needs it.
Of importance is gaining some knowledge about the Myrtle Beach and surrounding area before a visit. One can send for the "Stay and Play" guide from the website for the beach. Inside this guide, one can find many motels, but none of them will beat the prices of the Spanish themed El Dorado, nor will any of the rest let you stay longer for less. One can read all about the area targeted to visit, what to expect, where to get coupons and other discounts in this free guide.
