You don't have to spend a lot of money for ski lodging when you ski the ski areas around Lake Tahoe. There are several hotels in South Tahoe, California that cost less than $100 a night. Some have shuttles to the ski areas and some are located by a Gondola to Heavenly Ski Resort. The ski areas of Kirkwood and Sierra-at-Tahoe are close by to add skiing variety to your trip. The close by Casinos add additional entertainment to your trip,

For a weekday stay the price drops to $35 and $45 respectfully and advertise rooms as low as $30 a night.
All rooms come with mini refrigerators and microwaves so if you really want to be thrifty on your ski trip you could eat in your room. Rates during the week ranged from $39-89. During the heart of Ski Season the weekend rates ranged from $79-130. However, if you went late season or early ski season the rates would range between $59-120. Some of the higher priced rooms are based on more people and include kitchens.
