Cost cutting can be done in many portions of your wedding expenses. But you should give emphasis to some areas that should be exempted from cost cutting.
Wedding Photography and/or Videography.
The fee for expert wedding photography is from $1,000-$3,000. Don't bother asking relatives and friends to do it. Wedding pictures and videos are the only living proof that can be seen or viewed what took place in the future. Try scouting for photography clubs to cut costs. There are hobbyist members who would give you lower costs. Inquire from friends, maybe you have one or two friends who can recommend other professionals to help at a lesser price. Ask them for some pre-wedding pictures or videos for a small fee. You can employ them for wedding photography and videography services if you are contended with their presentation.
Wedding venue.
House wedding is quite cheap but be sure that your guests are not crowded or can walk around with ease. If they feel packed up, chances are they would leave early and spoil the fun. A friend or relative who has a big place could let you rent at a cheaper price than hotel and restaurants. A good venue should be harmonious with your theme. In some venues, prices vary with time and date schedules. Night weddings are more expensive since more electricity is needed for illumination.
Wedding Flowers.
You will be shocked with the prices of wedding ceremony flowers. Scout around flower shops, some charge cheap but the quality varies. They show you nice arrangements but on the wedding day, they bring sub-standard wedding flowers. Ask friends who have basic flower arranging back ground; they can help do flower arrangements at the church and reception decorations. Get wedding flowers that are in season, they are cheaper. Graphic displays are good alternatives they are also cheaper. Garden wedding is an alternative it will cut cost on flower decorations.
There are some other factors you should think about for your budget wedding. As a whole, you can save about 50% on expenses with proper planning for the budget wedding.
