Budget Wedding Transportation

Get to Your Wedding on a Dime!

When planning for a budget wedding, often pricey vehicle rentals are the first to go. However, that doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice style on your big day. You want to arrive in style, but don't have the big bucks to do it. By racking your brain and asking for help from family, friends and even neighbors, you may just find a great and inexpensive way to make a dramatic entrance and exit on your big day.

For budget brides and grooms, consider borrowing a cool car from a family member or friend. Maybe someone you know has a collection of classic old cars that they would let you borrow. Whether it is a 1960's Volkswagen, a 1940's hot rod or a classic truck or convertible, you may be able to find a way to use their classic car as a part of your ceremony.

Some couples find that simply not mentioning that their rental is for a wedding will save them money also. If you are intent on renting a limo for your big day, then don't let the renal company know that it is for a wedding. Some companies are shady and tack on extra fees if they know that it is for a wedding, so this may save you some money. Furthermore, you can just rent your limo by the hour instead of all day, and only use it for when you arrive to your ceremony.

If worse comes to worse, there is nothing wrong about driving your own vehicle to and from your ceremony and reception. If you want, you can even enter the back way so that no one can see you arrive, or simply decorate your vehicle with wedding decorations like flowers and bells to add a little pizzazz. If you are still embarrassed by your vehicle and want to make a grand entrance, consider renting a sporty or new model car for the day. It's relatively inexpensive and will make just as good an impression as a limo or classical car. Just remember to look for a spacious rental vehicle so you have plenty of room for a frilly dress.

Worried about getting your family and friends from the ceremony to the reception? Consider renting white economy vans to shuttle your wedding party members. Instead of a pricy limo, you can use an equally comfortable van and ditch the expensive limo and driver. If your wedding and reception are taking place on the same property, but in a long walking distance from one another, consider renting golf carts for those who can't trek the long distance.

Budget transportation doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice style for you and your guests. With a little smart thinking, you can make transportation a minor expense on your big day, and put that money into a great honeymoon instead. As long as you have a safe and reliable vehicle, finding a budget mode of transportation to your wedding can be a breeze!
