When you saw several computer-generated king crabs toddling toward what seemed a gigantic ice chest from Manna inscripted with the words "Budweiser," you knew you were about to see something special.

As the crustaceans inched closer, one could see two Budweiser bottles sticking out of the ice like two huge antennae. You wanted at that very moment to reach into your fridge, but you waited like you had all game. And the crabs bowing down to the gargantuan red plastic cooler was just what you needed in the fourth quarter.

Though the "Crab" commercial, a 14-second spot, did win the coveted AdMeter crown given to the best Super Bowl spot based on a real-time consumer focus group that watched all commercials airing on a national basis during Super Bowl XLI.

In all Anheuser-Busch captured four of the top five spots in the AdMeter contest, featuring such gems as "Rock, Paper, Scissors," in which two men clamoring for the last Bud Light decide the best way to settle the dispute is with a game of "rock, paper, scissors." During the game the first player decides on paper and throws a wadded note at the head of the other. In retailiation the other man calls "rock" and hilarity ensues as the "paper" thrower is pelted with a rock.

But perhaps the most underrated and hilarious bit came from "Mister Mencia," in which comedian Carlos Mencia teaches immigrants how to speak English. In the 30-second spot Mencia tells the students that when one asks for a Bud Light, they should say, "No speak English."

Other notable ads were Careerbuilder.com featuring office workers in a unique but hilarious battle for top office positions, Nationwide Insurance featuring Kevin Federline as a wannabe rapper working as a fry cook, Doritos featuring an amateur director and last but not least, comedian Jim Gaffigan sporting a "beard combover" for Sierra Mist.
