TV will have itself a Buffy the Vampire reunion of sorts after all, as Buffy and Angel alums Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters are set to guest star in an episode of "Supernatural" as a married couple.
Joss Whedon fans should be delighted.
The "Supernatural" episode is set to air on August 22. It will be titled "Shut Up, Dr. Phil" and features Carpenter and Marsters as a married couple on having problems. Carpenter's character is a witch and Marsters' character has apparently fallen out of favor with his wife, much to his ill-fortune.
Episode Producer Sera Gamble has described the "Supernatural" ep as, "'Bewitched' gone wrong -- now that he's pissed her off, the whole town is paying the price."
There is still not apparent word on when we are going to get that "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" reboot movie that Joss Whedon is not participating in. Hopefully never.
Charisma Carpenter reunited with fellow "Buffy" star Nicolas Brendon (who played Xander Harris on the show) in the 2006 ABC Family movie "Relative Chaos."
James Marsters played the character Spike on "Buffy" and Charisma Carpenter portrayed Cordelia Chase. Both went on to become regulars on the "Buffy" spin-off show "Angel" playing the same characters.
