Bugatti Veyron is a glorious machine just to stand by. Just the shape of the body is menacing. And being an artist myself, I consider the Veyron to be a work of art. It's built to break record speeds, but it's also a really good looking car. Aside from looking extremely good, it's also not exactly what I call small. It's huge, in fact! I look like a very small person standing or sitting by it; even though I'm not exactly small myself. The size of the thing is enormous! But then, when we look at why it's so big, we understand. It's has two big V8 engines powering it, and it has four turbos strapped to the engine. Plus it has more radiators than just about anything out there - 10! That's why there is no engine cover, and that's why the car is so bulky - just to fit all the radiators.
The car is also extremely elegant from whatever side you look at it. Every panel is curved just right, giving it such a fine sculpture. When I compare it to the old 1993 Bugatti EB110, it's like comparing heaven and hell. The EB110 isn't too ugly of a car, but when you compare it to the Veyron, it's not really beautiful. Yes, it it'll stand out from your ordinary every-day car, but it will not mount up to the Veyron.
On the inside, it's very elegant as well. It just looks expensive. Sitting inside the Veyron, looking at the perfectly designed dashboard, with all those beautifully crafted buttons and readouts, I would feel like I'm sitting in a very expensive, rare, and unusual car. And if I were to drive one of these, I would feel it too because the Veyron has some monumental performance figures. A top speed of 253 miles per hour, and 0-60 in low 3-second range!
So, what has German ownership done to the Bugatti? Well, it's given us one of the most beautiful cars ever! Not to mention one of the fastest as well. My fear now is that like the McLaren F1, which is being replaced by a scale-down, slower, less powerful, and less expensive P11, the Veyron might soon be replaced as well.
