It prevents you from having to deal with complicated technical wiring and makes the basement look a lot better when setting it up. Usually all you need is the remote wireless box and your speakers. Most new systems today come with RCA cable hookups that make installation a breeze.

If you want the best sound quality go for BOSE technology speakers. Get speakers that are full sized which are commonly termed wall speakers. These are going to give you the most realistic and crisp sound that is available in a home entertainment system. If you cannot afford expensive wall speakers or tower speakers, you can always invest in a prepackaged surround sound system with satellite speakers. These can be very powerful as well and come in different power output settings.

Depending on what you are using your theater for will help you decide what type of stereo to go with. If you are new to stereos, then you might just want to go with a simple five speaker system that is prepackaged.
