Adding an indoor wall fountain to any room is a great way to liven up your house. Indoor wall fountains can produce a relaxing environment with the sounds of water flowing or rushing down the wall. The entryway to a home is a very popular place to put an indoor wall fountain. However, indoor wall fountains are not limited to a specific room. They can be placed in whatever room that you entertain company in.

Instructions to install an indoor wall fountain will be a little different with each model. However, the basics are the same. The following information is a quick run through on how to assemble your very own indoor wall fountain.

To begin building your indoor wall fountain, you will need a wall fountain, a level, drywall anchors, a drill, a pencil, a hammer and a screwdriver.

The first thing you want to do is read the instructions. The majority of indoor wall fountains must be put together with several different parts. When the pump and tubing are connected to the top part of the indoor wall fountain, you will connect the base. Be sure to go over the instructions thoroughly so that you are able to correctly assemble the indoor wall fountain. For the majority of the connecting, it is a rather direct process. Although, keep in mind that indoor wall fountains differ with each model.

The next step is to figure out where you would like to place the indoor wall fountain. You may need to ask a friend to assist you with this task because you will need to mark the wall where you will be placing the fountain. Have a friend hold the indoor wall fountain in place while you mark the fountain's position. Use the level to be sure that it is level before you make your marks. You will want to mark at the bottom and the top of the wall.

Now that you have decided where you are going to place your indoor wall fountain, you need to figure out how you will hang it. An indoor wall fountain can be hung in two different ways. You can have slots on the back of your fountain that you will slide screws into or you can mount a bracket to the wall. The mounting bracket is a better option if you are placing a rather large indoor wall fountain.

Next you need to drill the holes for your anchors. Make sure to measure where the mounting brackets need to be placed by first measuring on the indoor wall fountain, then transferring the measurements to the wall. Now drill the holes for the drywall anchors. Tap the drywall anchors lightly into the wall.

The next step is to mount your bracket to the wall. Make sure your bracket is level and begin to screw it into the wall using the screwdriver or cordless drill.

Now that all the mounting is set up, it is time to put the indoor wall fountain on the bracket. Pick the indoor wall fountain up and put it on the wall, securing it to the mounting bracket. Make sure that the screws and brackets fit tightly together and the fountain is sitting level.

All the hard work is done now. It is time to plug in your indoor wall fountain and fill it with water. Begin this by adding enough water to cover the fountain's water pump.

Plug the pump in and allow the water to start moving. Gradually add water until the water has reached around an inch under the edge of the basin of water. Keep in mind that if you fill it too full, the water will flow over the edge when you are not using the pump. This is because the water that is moving around when the pump is on, will settle to the bottom of the basin when the pump is off and will cause the amount of the water in the basin to increase. When it overflows, the water will run onto the floor or on your furniture and may ruin your wall.

Now you can enjoy your indoor wall fountain. Indoor wall fountains are easy to assemble and add a delightful sense of relaxation to any room in your home. Remember, when assembling your indoor wall fountain, ensure that it is leveled and fits tightly against the wall.
