Building a Wind Turbine - Required Materials List

Zac Linzmeier
In this article, I will do my best to explain what is needed to build a wind turbine. It is easier to build a wind turbine than it is to describe how to build it but I will do my best. The building materials needed are not hard to find and building the actual wind turbine is not a lengthy process either.

In order to construct a wind turbine you will need sheets of plywood or PVC, copper wire, LED, washers and screws, a quarter inch square dowel, glue, and disk magnets. These are the building materials needed. The tools to do the job are a compass, screwdriver, tape measure, and voltmeter.

Prior to purchasing the materials and tools used to build a wind turbine, you must first decide on what style of wind turbine you would like to build. This is determined by the size of your property. You will also need to determine the height of your wind turbine tower and whether or not there is enough wind clearance in the location you plan to build it. These aspects must be decided upon prior to building a wind turbine.

Building a wind turbine starts with the planning process. You need to know your game plan prior to starting construction.

There are websites out there that sell wind turbine production kits. They include everything that is needed in order to build one. But based on the previous information I have provided, you will see that the material required to build a wind turbine is neither obtuse nor hard to acquire. There are also online guides with photos to help you through the building process. It is even quite possible to build a wind turbine for less than two hundred dollars. These online guides will give you an idea as to what type of layout best suits your property and its location. Building a wind turbine will help save you money.

Hopefully now you will see just how easy it is to build a wind turbine. Head out and get yourself a good set of plans, pick up the materials as listed here and get to work. There is no reason you shouldn't be able to get your new wind turbine up and running, and saving you money, within a single day or two slow paced days. Wind turbines are a great way to save money and the environment at the same time.
