Bulgogi

This is an Authenic Korean Recipe

Teresa Mahieu
Bulgogi

Assemble the following ingredients:

½ bottle Soy Sauce

3 Tsp. Garlic (fresh crushed or powdered will do)

1Tsp. Red Pepper

3 Tsp. Black Pepper

½ Cup Brown Sugar

1 Tsp. Ginger

1 Tblsp. Sesame Seed

½ Cup Molasses

½ Cup Raw Shredded Carrots

½ Sliced Raw Onion

1 bunch Green Onions (diced)

2-3 lbs. Thinly Sliced Beef or Pork

Place all ingredients in a covered dish and marinade in the refrigerator for a minimum of 12 hours. It's BEST to make the day before planning to cook and let marinade overnight. Stir the contents of the dish in the morning and then again in the afternoon. When ready to cook place marinated meat and marinade in a wok or deep skillet coated with cooking spray or 1 tsp of cooking oil and stir fry over high heat for approximately 10 min. or until meat is desired doneness. Serve hot over rice. (Caution: This is a spicy meal, tone down the heat by adding less pepper and ginger. Try the recipe as written first as you may find you like it.)

This is a family favorite. I don't make it often and usually when I do I have plenty for everyone. This will serve 4 - 6 people depending on appetites. Sometimes my girls will beg me to make it and my youngest now makes it for her friends.
