Bulletin boards are a great way to get your students involved in the classroom. It is also a great way to display your student's work, instill confidence, and inspire creativity. This article will discuss bulletin board ideas for the month of February that you and your students will enjoy taking part in.

Groundhog's Day

To create a Groundhog's Day bulletin board you will need blue butcher paper, scissors, brown tissue paper, construction paper, sticks, and markers. Start by explaining this February holiday to the children in your class. Provide them with white pieces of construction paper.

Have each student make a do not disturb sign with the white paper and markers. Make sure each sign is numbered differently. While the kids make and decorate their sign cover the bulletin board. Use yellow construction paper to make a sun in the corner. Then add crumbled up pieces of tissue paper to make a mountain for the groundhog's hole. Countdown until February second using your students personalized signs.

African American History Collage

To make this February bulletin board idea you will need butcher paper to cover the bulletin board. For this idea you will need to assign students with a famous African American from history. Have students find a famous quote from their person, and write that quote on a piece of paper.

Allow students to add colors and images to the quote, as well as, the name of the author of it. You may also assign the students a biographical essay on the person. Cover the bulletin board with the various quotes for this February bulletin board. Add images of the various people as well to bring even more detail into this bulletin board.

President's Day

For this bulletin board you must provide students with coloring pages of the presidents. Also provide the students with information about the presidents. Let students choose three interesting facts about each president.

Then give each student a coloring page of a president and allow them to color them in. Also instruct students to write the three facts about the presidents on the bottom of the sheet. Hang the pictures on the bulletin board with a catchy phrase like, "Come meet our Presidents."

Creating inspiring bulletin boards with your students is great for every month. February has several holidays that are worth noting, and choosing a bulletin board that is fun for kids is a great idea.
