Viruses, trojans, and worms are constant threats on the internet. You can easily pick up one of these infamous threats without even realizing it. Visiting a website or opening an email are dangerous things. No matter how careful you try to be, there is always one of these things waiting to infect your precious computer. With all of the available antivirus and other protection programs, you can block unwanted intruders from corrupting your system. Some of these programs are totally free, while others can cost you a pretty penny. BullGuard Internet Security 8.0 will offer users some protection, but it may not provide the best protection.

BullGuard Internet Security 8.0 has wonderful features that will make it a viable candidate among other internet security programs. It has a great built in help function and also a nice online backup storage system. The entire internet security suite comes fully equipped with antivirus, firewall, antispyware and a spam filter. The only necessary components it is missing is a useful data protection feature and parental controls. Users can test out the software by trying the 60 day free trial. This will give you the chance to test out this security suite and see if it is a good fit.

The colorful silver and red interface will provide users a basic view of their system status. Once you select the "Do it" button you will be able to improve the security of your system in one step. The entire installation process will be a quick and painless task. You will not have to spend a lot of time jumping through hoops for the installation process. The included firewall is very weak. It can provide a basic protection against port scan attacks, but nothing stronger. Windows Firewall does the same thing and that is a free feature for Windows users.

One of the most annoying features of the BullGuard Internet Security 8.0 is the annoying pop up notifications. You will be constantly bothered by countless pop up triggers. In order to get rid of this annoying function, just check the box that asks to remember your answer. If you do not respond quick enough to the pop up, then the program will be repeatedly submitted to BullGuard for analysis. Most internet security suites are less bothersome and can make their own judgments about deleting harmful programs and keeping useful ones. This security suite is too dependent on user input to make any decisions.

The overall impression of BullGuard Internet Security 8.0 is that it is too expensively price for its lackluster features. Although users will get 5GB of online storage, the other features of this product will not make it a smart buy. Browsing the internet on a regular basis requires a strong internet security suite that functions well in every aspect. No one wants to risk getting infected by a virus and have it cause irreparable damage. Users can test out this program for 60 days, but don't count on using it as a great replacement for your current internet security suite. There are many other programs available that can do a better job.
