Bunny-Themed Crafts for Easter

Egg Bunny
These cute bunnies make adorable table decorations. If you hang them on ribbons and use waterproof paints, they can also be used as ornaments for an Easter tree.

Materials Eggs, Paint or Sharpened crayons, Felt - 1 sheet white, 2-3 pastels, "Googly" eyes, Small pink and white craft pompoms, Wire (20-24 gauge), Scissors, Pliers, Glue

First, hollow out one or more eggshells using the blowing method demonstrated in this video. Cut out ear and foot shapes from the white felt, one pair for each egg. Use the wire to create the support structure by bending one end into the same approximate shape as one foot, then bend the wire upward to create a 1- 1 ½ inch leg, wrap it around the egg just below the widest part of the egg, then create an identical leg on the other side. To keep the egg in place, create a small basket by bending two 2 inch lengths of wire into U-shapes. Loop the ends over the edge of the big loop of the leg structure and place then perpendicular to each other. Glue the felt feet on top of the wire ones. Glue lengths of wire to the back of the felt ears and glue them to the top of the egg. Cut a rectangle of one of the pastel felts, long enough to go around the egg and glue together and wide enough to cover all the wire (approximately 1.5 inches x 4.5 inches). Use paint or crayons to make whiskers and a mouth; use pompoms to make the nose and tail. Glue on the eyes. Use glue or paint to cover the top holes if you won't be hanging the eggs.

Bunny Ear Headband

Materials
Wire, ¼ yard of white or pastel faux fur, ¼ yard of matching color fabric, ½ inch wide elastic, measuring tape, scissors, sewing machine (or needle and thread), pins

Measure the head of the person who will be wearing the ears by wrapping the tape around from the hairline on the face to the hairline on the neck, behind the ears. Cut your fabric into a rectangle that is this measurement long by 1.5 inches wide. Cut your elastic 1 inch shorter than this measurement. Fold the fabric lengthwise, wrong side out, and pin the elastic to one short end so that one long side lines up with the folded edge. Sew the fabric together with about a 3/8 inch seam allowance. Turn it right side out, pull the unpinned end of the elastic out. Sew the elastic ends together, then the fabric ends. Cut ear shapes from the fur and make matching shapes with the wire for support. Fold the bottom inch backward. Sew this to the headband, parallel to the wire.

Bunny face T-shirt

Materials Fabric paint, brushes, t-shirt, large white craft pompom (optional), glue

Use a stencil or freehand a bunny face onto a t-shirt. Glue the pompom onto the back of the shirt, directly opposite the face.
