Burger King Says Jennifer Hudson Can Have it Her Way Forever!

Looks like Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson will be able to enjoy all the Whoppers she would like after mentioning Burger King in her rebuttal against American Idol judge Simon Cowell. Burger King has provided the starlet a prepaid Burger King Crown Card and will keep it reloaded for her indefinitely. Who knew that a simple name-drop could lead to something like this!

The drama all started when Jennifer Hudson failed to give thanks to American Idol when she won the Best Supporting Actress award at the Oscars. Simon Cowell, the famous 'tell it like it is' judge from American Idol, slammed the starlet by stating:

"Jennifer Hudson said American Idol was a 'stepping stone' for her. Stepping stone? It was her big opportunity to become noticed and she got noticed and she got Dreamgirls."

"Singers like her deliberately turn against the show that made them successful. The reason (people) come on the show is because all the doors had been slammed in their face."

In response to the remark made by Simon Cowell, Jennifer Hudson had this to say:

"If I'd been any better at my job when I was at Burger King in my middle teens, I wouldn't be here either, so should I thank them, too?"

Jennifer Hudson worked the drive-thru and flipped burgers when she was 16 years old at the restaurant on East 87th and State Street in Chicago, Illinois. Her sister, who also worked at Burger King with Jennifer, said that while she was working her shift, she would be singing.

The website TMZ (http://www.tmz.com) obtained the following statement from a Burger King official:

"...In response to Jennifer's recent comments in which she asked if she should be thanking Burger King, we say thanks, but no thanks are necessary. Burger King Corporation is proud of Jennifer's success and while we never like to lose employees, in this case, our loss is the entertainment industry's gain ... To further show our support for Jennifer, and make sure she never has to sing for her supper again, Burger King Corporation is giving her a pre-paid BK Crown Card that will be automatically reloaded for life."

Who knows, maybe this will be the start of something big between Jennifer Hudson and Burger King - as in getting signed as the official spokeswoman for Burger King! We will just have to watch and see.
