Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Villages - This is a great wine that you can pick up at any supermarket. I usually purchase this at Publix for $9.99 most of the time. I buy this quite often and it is usually my first choice for an inexpensive red. You must let this breathe for about 20 minutes once you open it so that the flavor can react properly. A light strawberry yet peppery taste is what hits the tongue first, but I guarantee that the end result is truly delicious. It has a very crisp earthy aroma to it and for a nice dry red, it does not dry your mouth like a lot of reds usually do. A great wine at the price.
Joseph Drouhin Beaujolais - Another fabulous choice of wine for under $15 a bottle. It's been a while since I've had this wine, however it was always my next choice if the above wine wasn't available. This may be found in your supermarket, but definitely can be found at your wine purveyor. A crisp looking red with a light shell and deep red center, you can certainly taste the flavor of dark cherries in this choice. A deep yet smooth wine to enjoy with all red pasta dinners and beef.
Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Villages - Like the two above, this is another good option for the lower priced reds. I really pretty much find the taste as easy on the palate as the above, although the flavors slightly vary, the overall appreciation is about the same. One more good choice for around $10 a bottle and according to Marketwire.com, the people at Georges Duboeuf are expecting one of their best vintages in the last 50 years. This red has a good acidity with cherry, black raspberry and cranberry aromas and taste with nice earthy undertones.
Louis Jadot Macon-Villages - A clean crisp Chardonnay with citrus and white fruit flavors. This is a nice dry wine that should be drunk chilled and goes well with light seafood recipes, chicken and would also paid well with Alfredo sauce meals. You can find this at ABC Liquors for around $17.
Joseph Drouhin Pouilly Fuisse - A wonderful choice for something slightly more upscale and definitely for the mature palate. This is a complex wine with floral and fruity flavors with lovely golden hue. A nice round dry taste to the palate and you will note some undertones of fresh almonds. However, for the complexity of this tasty selection you can expect to pay roughly $30 a bottle.
