Burn Zombie Burn Review (PS3)

Burn Zombie Burn is a an overhead action game released on PSN/Playstation 3 and created by Doublesix. If you like mindless action and zombies, this game is perfection. Let's talk a bit more about it though.

Story : There is no story here. The main character's name is Bruce, which is probably a homage to Bruce Campbell. If you don't know who that is, seek out the Evil Dead trilogy immediately. Besides that, you roam around an area and dispense zombie killing justice. Some of you probably dropped your jaw at what I just said, and if that's the case this game is for you.

Graphics : The graphics are great, silly but still very good. All the fire effects look very nice and Bruce himself is animated well. Everything is drawn in a fun way and the game has really loose, fun atmosphere. If you're looking for Resident Evil style realism, stay away from this game. If you want silly fun in the vein of Army of Darkness, this game will blow your mind.

Sound : The music in this game is incredible. Really awesome surf tunes, great rocking' songs, pretty much the perfect tunes to kill zombies too. Really really cool. The sound effects are also neat and the zombie groans sound great. I pretty much have to give this game two thumbs up based on the fact that you kill zombies to surf music.

Game play : The game play in this game is insanely addicting. There's tons of things to do and so many ways to do them, it's so enticing. Like the game's namesake, you can set many zombies on fire. But there's so many ways to attack them that it never gets boring. Taking out large hordes of zombies in one attack is so fulfilling that you just have to do it over and over again. Long story short, this game is extremely fun and addicting.

Re playability : The re playability of this game is off the charts. It's not unlike Tetris in that it's something you don't really get bored of and you don't feel bad about having to start a new game. On top of that, there's a ton of unlock ables and trophies in this game. Yes, this game gives you a huge bang for your buck. Highly recommended.

Overall : 10/10. Is this game original? No. Is this game something that will change the gaming industry? No. Does this game deliver exactly what it promises? Yes, to perfection. Perfect score.
