Like indigestion
Simmering anger sickened
And burned her insides
Poisoning her heart
Smothering her mind and soul
Until she couldn't breathe
Then with no control
The fiery flames erupted
Lashing her target
But burning others
And charring many friendships
She needs to survive

Right! When we let anger fester, it destroys one's health and relationships. There is nothing wrong with healthy anger if released properly. (We myst not release it on the wrong people!) One has to let it go, though, because it can become all consuming. Excellent poem. This has a message that can reach people from all creeds and walks of life -- it is a universal truth.
Very well said! Anger does feel like battery acid that's slowly poisioning me.
Anger does poison one's heart. Well said.
Very nicely done.
